Matthias Huck Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München

Welcome to Matthias Huck's homepage.

I am a researcher in Alex Fraser's group at the Center for Information and Language Processing (CIS) at LMU Munich in Munich, Germany.

My research interest is machine translation.

I was previously (2013-2016) a research associate at the Institute for Language, Cognition and Computation (ILCC), which is part of the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I was working with Philipp Koehn and the statistical machine translation group at the University of Edinburgh.

Prior to that (2008-2013) I was working as a member of the Human Language Technology and Pattern Recognition Group (Chair of Computer Science 6, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hermann Ney) at the Computer Science Department of RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany.

I am co-author of Jane, RWTH's open source statistical machine translation toolkit (free for non-commercial use), and I have also contributed to the development of the Moses statistical machine translation system (available on GitHub).
